To qualify you need to: (1) own your home in Victoria, (2) have a property more than 2 years old, and (3) currently have a gas ducted heater (Braemar, Bonaire, Brivis, Rinnai or similar). How much does it cost after the rebate?

Depends on the number of indoor units (heads). As a guide: 3-head systems typically cost $3,600–$4,100, 4-head $4,300–$5,300, and 5-head $5,300–$6,500 — all after the VEU rebate is applied. The rebate is deducted upfront, so you only pay the balance.
What happens to my old gas heater?

Your old gas ducted heater is decommissioned and removed as part of the install. This is actually a requirement of the VEU program — replacing the gas heater is what triggers the rebate. Our team handles removal and disposal.
How long does installation take?

Most multi-split installs are done in a single day. A 3-head system is usually 4–6 hours; a 5-head can take a full day. Your installer will give you a time estimate at the pre-assessment so you know exactly what to expect.
What brand of air conditioner will I get?

We primarily install Midea VRF multi-split systems, which carry a 7-year manufacturer warranty. For ducted we offer Hisense and Samsung. We also install Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Rinnai when customers specifically request them — these carry a slightly higher contribution above the Midea baseline.
Is there really no paperwork for me to do?

Correct — we handle all of it. From eligibility verification and VEEC certificate creation through to government portal lodgement, Cooper's Climate manages the entire compliance and rebate process. You sign the install agreement and we take care of the rest.
What if I have an evaporative cooler instead of a heater?

Evaporative coolers follow a different decommission protocol — we cap the gas line and disconnect the unit safely, but the standard VEU rebate path is built around gas ducted heaters. Give us a call and we'll walk you through the options for your specific setup.
